Founded in 1977, Superior Angran has grown from a small structural pest control company to become a pillar of innovation and leadership in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. We specialize in the distribution of structural, turf and ornamental, public health and agricultural pest control products. We are pioneers in offering professional training and technical assistance to our customers, thus helping to create a solid industry that contributes to the economic development of the country.

Chronology

1972 - Superior started!
  • Founded by Don Juan Angulo Álvarez and his son Juan Antonio Angulo Granda.
  • With just a team of three people, we began offering pest control services in structures.
  • The company was incorporated as Superior Angran Inc. in 1977.
1980 - We started with the distribution of our products.
  • Superior Angran evolves and becomes a company specializing in the distribution of products for pest control in structures.
  • Thanks to industries such as Tourism and Pharmaceuticals, Superior Angran takes responsibility and the initiative to train and professionalize the pest control field in Puerto Rico, thus supporting and contributing to the country's economic growth.
  • Our services are expanded to serve the Caribbean region.
1990 - Our growth continues
  • The current building is constructed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, housing our offices and one of our warehouses.
  • Within a few years, another structure is built for the storage and supply of pest control products.
  • By the end of the decade, the staff increases to 14 employees.
2000 - We diversify
  • We open a branch in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, dedicated to selling pest control products in that country.
  • In Puerto Rico, we expand our services to include Golf/Turf areas and Ornamental/Landscape Gardening ("Landscaping").
  • By the middle of the decade, we evolve to venture into the agriculture sector.
2010 - Expansion in the south of the island
  • Another branch opens in the southern town of Santa Isabel to meet the needs of our customers in those areas.
  • This branch distributes and sells pest control products, fertilizers, and equipment for the local agricultural industry.
  • We begin providing services to the agricultural biotechnology industry.
  • Biological control is introduced to the agricultural market to help our customers succeed in their Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.
  • Once again, we diversify and transform by serving the retail segment. This includes DIY (Do It Yourself) pest control products in various local retail chains, as well as numerous agricultural stores.
  • By this time, we have 30 employees dedicated to serving the local industry.
2020 - We continue to grow
  • Superior Angran continues to stay updated, applying the latest advancements by creating a technical team.
  • Creates the Avant Experimental Farm.
  • Due to the high demand for products and our situation as an island reliant on a healthy maritime supply route, a new storage building was constructed in the town of Santa Isabel.
  • We currently have a workforce of 45+ employees and continue striving to lead the pest control industry in Puerto Rico.
  • We support the seed research and development industry.
  • We increased our technical team to 6 agronomists.
  • The Agricultural Irrigation department is strengthened by hiring an irrigation specialist.
